I wanted to get this up on Father's Day but I was traveling. I actually ran across these pictures at my parents house a few months ago and grabbed them. They were taken in the early 70's. My daddy was drafted into the Army in the early 70's just a little before the draft ended. He spent most of his time in Germany and made it home safely with no major problems. I thought these pics of his Colt M16A1 were awesome. He shot 3rd overall in his class during rifle classification. I guess the AR platform was in my blood before I knew it.
