The SE3GC....made possible by Strong-Side Tactical

This past weekend I had the great opportunity to shoot in the Southeastern 3-GUN Challenge, which is the newest and most current form of the old Fort Benning 3-Gun. The venue has now changed to Legion OTG in Blakely, GA, making it the closest major 3-gun match to my home.We in Georgia are starved for good 3-gun matches, and this one delivered.

While this was the biggest match I've participated in so far, I certainly learned many lessons and have the video to prove it. The one point that struck me was just how incredibly nice everyone who participates in this sport is. Daniel Horner ran a great match, even though he hammered me on a penalty I didn't think I deserved. Jesse Tischauser is one of the nicest guys I've ever met and I learned a ton watching him shoot. (He won first place by the way). The group of guys I traveled with from Augusta all shot well, all placing in the top 60, with Dewey placing top 20 and Jared top 30.

The biggest thanks here goes to Lew at Strong-Side Tactical who helped me out with absolutely bomb-proof gear that just WOULD NOT fail. It rained all weekend and the Georgia clay was muddy, but my rifle and the JM PRO shotgun kept firing time after time. And that rifle I built made a little noise as well, ringing that 400 yard target with relative ease.

So check out my footage from the event: all 8 stages are put together below. There are plenty of mistakes to go around but watching video is how I learn and maybe there are few lessons to be learned for more than just me.

Be safe and see you next time.
