IC Update: Army IC Re-Open For Bids

For The Win!

The Army is following the recommendation from the Government Accountability Office and is reopening bidding for the improved M4 Carbine. This is in the face of Colt's complaint filed against the decision to award the contract for 24,000 rifles to Remington earlier this year.  This is a huge win for Colt, as Remington's cost per rifle is public record now and any other company can now set their sights on that price tag. And, in true governmental fashion, the successor to the M4 won't come any time soon.
